Welcome to the website of CHT R. BEITLICH CORP. (CHT USA) which today is a wholly owned US subsidiary of CHT, Germany.

CHT USA began its activities in 1984 through a joint venture with Catawba Charlab Inc. which at that time was an established leader in textile auxiliaries and particularly pretreatment chemistry based in Charlotte, NC. Through this joint venture both companies were able to significantly increase their market presence in the North American market throughout the 80’s and into the 90’s.

In 2001 CHT acquired 100% of Catawba Charlab and quickly expanded it’s activities into Canada, Mexico and Central America. Building upon it’s base of textile chemistry, CHT USA has quickly diversified into markets such as personal care, construction and specialty coatings. Our most recent development has been the acquisition of Aurorachem Inc. in 2008 which gains us entrance into the US industrial laundry chemical market.

Today, CHT USA is a vibrant, growing part of one of the leading specialty chemical suppliers in the world. With manufacturing, laboratory and warehousing in Charlotte, NC along with distribution capabilities throughout North America, CHT USA is proud of its heritage and ability to provide added value solutions to our customer’s technical needs.
